The Weather in Ireland
Ireland's weather can best be described as temperate but changeable. Warmed by the Gulf Stream, Ireland does not suffer the extreme temperatures of mainland Europe. Winters are mostly mild, although occasionally the weather will spring a surprise with snow and ice, a time for lighting fires and extra sweaters. Summers are often a pleasing experience. However, a rain shower may be just around the corner so visitors should always pack a lightweight waterproof jacket.
